A professional chef's guide to the home kitchen

Rate Sheet

Private Chef Work

Private Chef Work is billed by time and materials. There is no mark-up on ingredients or supplies needed for your event. My time for shopping and preparation is billed on an hourly basis. Each event is unique and the time varies drastically based on the type of kitchen I will be working out of, menu preferences, distance from my location, length of the event, and so many other variables. If you are interested in my private chef services I am happy to provide you with a free proposal and estimate.

Catering and Event Planning Consultation

$50 for initial 1-hour phone call consultation. This will help foster a clear understanding of your needs and how best to articulate your desires to caterers as you begin requesting proposals.

$75 Catering and Proposal Reviews. Once you have found a caterer, I will review their proposal and contract to ensure that 1) it meets your needs and vision for your event and does not leave any gaps in service with your other event vendors, 2) provides adequate protection for you should you need to make changes to guest count/venue/date and 3) is fair and in-line with what the industry charges for these services.

Additional support available at an hourly rate of $40.

Menu and Kitchen Consultation

$150 for initial full menu review and 1-hour phone call consultation. Additional support services are available and will be billed at an hourly rate of $40/hour. Support services include:

  • recipe development
  • menu development
  • ingredient research and sourcing
  • general advice for new culinary industry operations
  • kitchen layout and organization
  • staff cleaning, opening, and closing checklists and protocols
  • staff training and food safety workshops
